If you recall,
I made some
pretty darn good artichokes
the other night.
The thing about shooting pictures
for dinner -
there's an absence of enough natural light
to shoot properly.
And flash doesn't work here.
So I had artichokes the next day for lunch.
And this is what they look like:
The stuffing/dressing is:
tomatoes
lemon juice
lemon zest
garlic
basil
mint
parsley
red onion
capers
olive oil
toasted, crusty wheat bread cubes,
tossed in at the last moment
Lemon and melted butter.

Excellent artichoke.
I love the dressing/stuffing.
Loved all the flavors.
They are all equal.
And more than the sum of their parts.
Gastronomic Synergy.
I love it when that happens.
