Rosie's Tablescape.

I've been paying close attention to Aunt Sandy's tablescapes. I know that one needs something with height to obscure whomever's sitting across the table from you. The poinsettia serves that purpose. And you need a theme. My holiscape theme is balls.

My Holiday Tablescape.

Being in a bit of a festive mood today, I decided to make my own tablescape, although I'm absolutely no match for Sandy.
Oversized poinsettia - check. Evergreen arrangement with candle - check. Pirate nutcracker - check. (From when Ticky came down for my birthday last year and we had a pirate-themed scape.) And Scary King Christmas whose belly opens up from a hinge in his back, displaying candy - check. (A lovely and thoughtful gift from Carol of Alinea At Home and formerly of French Laundry At Home.) And the wonderful part about my tablescape is there's nowhere to put any food - just like Sandy's scapes. See, I'm learning.
