November 2. Galveston, Texas.

After San Antonio, we decided to check out Galveston. Reminds me a lot of the Outer Banks.
I'm intrigued by the pyramids. One is a Discovery Pyramid which explores the world of science. Another is an aquarium with 8000 specimens of marine life from the oceans of the South Atlantic and North and South Pacific. And the third is the Rain Forest Pyramid, with streams, waterfalls, a Mayan colonnade, exotic plants, and tropical fish and birds of the rain forests of Africa, Asia, and South America plus exhibits featuring exotic reptiles and birds as well as bats and other mammals. We'll definitely be checking this out in the morning.
Interesting how they hang their lights. The beach here should do it that way. Nothing like being stopped underneath one of these during gale force winds.
