A Walk Through My Garden.

After the rain Sunday, I took a stroll through my garden and shot some more pictures. Please enjoy. And remember to stop and smell the roses.

Bachelor's button, or corn flower. I love the brilliant blue of this flower. And it self seeds every year so I never have to plant it. It's all over the garden.

My Garden Today.

After a lot of rain for the past week,
and temperatures in the 50's and 40's,
today was a glorious day.
Sunny, warm - in the 70's.
Dixie and Glowria and I took our long walk - 5 + miles.
I felt like I had accomplished something.
Then I got back home and planted the perennials I'd bought at WalMart a week or so ago.

Here are my red petunias, in full glory, which actually over-wintered.
My purple verbena is in the background.
And I planted the yellow marigolds about a month ago.




Here are my very first roses of the season.

This lovely mound of red petunias lasted over the winter season.
We had a very mild winter this year.
Aren't they lovely?
