I took a little stroll through the the garden this morning and thought I'd share some pictures with you. And yes, xmaskatie, in case you were wondering, I did have to wear protective gear because of the hordes of hummingbirds following me everywhere and literally assaulting me. They can be quite aggressive little buggers, as you well know.

My Garden Today.
After a lot of rain for the past week,
and temperatures in the 50's and 40's,
today was a glorious day.
Sunny, warm - in the 70's.
Dixie and Glowria and I took our long walk - 5 + miles.
I felt like I had accomplished something.
Then I got back home and planted the perennials I'd bought at WalMart a week or so ago.

Here are my red petunias, in full glory, which actually over-wintered.
My purple verbena is in the background.
And I planted the yellow marigolds about a month ago.
My yellow tulips.
This lovely mound of red petunias lasted over the winter season.
We had a very mild winter this year.
Aren't they lovely?
My beautiful verbena.

Dianthus with purple salvia in the background.
My purple verbena a'blooming, with my Foxglove (Digitalis) behind it.
Oh, just wait till that blooms.
It's bee-yoo-tee-full.

Garden Pictures.
Ain't this purty?
Tulips and hyacinths and sea shells.
Beautiful Verbena.
My red petoonie -
which made it over winter.
Here's my verbena, my larkspur and foxglove.
Will shoot pictures later when the larkspur and the foxglove bloom.
Here's the clump of petunias which made it through winter, with the border of yellow marigolds I put in yesterday.
This is Mediterranean Pink Heather.
My asparagus, pushing up through the dirt.
