Rosie Makes A Crab Meat Appetizer.


I making a nifty little hors d'oeuvre
for our Fourth of July appetizer -
cucumber rounds stuffed with crab meat

I started out with about 8 ounces of crab meat,
juice of 1/2 lemon, and about 4 ounces of softened cream cheese.
I minced a celery stalk and a little bit of red pepper.

Add in a scoop of sour cream.
Mix all together.

Give it a few drops of Texas Pete, to taste.

About a teaspoon of Dijon mustard.

Freshly ground pepper.
Mix thoroughly.

Mr. Hawthorne peeled an English cucumber ...

... and cut it into little rounds.

Scoop out the rounds,
leaving a bottom.


Mr. Hawthorne sports his favorite T shirt.


Scoop crab meat mixture into each round.

Top with hot paprika and sliced scallions.
