Rosie Makes Georgia Peach Ice Cream.

I love Georgia peaches.
And I'm on a peach streak.
Youngest Hawthorne brought us
a big box of Georgia peaches when he came home.

I've been whuppin' up peach recipes.

Today, I'm making Georgia Peach Ice Cream.

Georgia Peach Ice Cream
2 cups peaches, peeled and chopped (about 5 peaches)
1 1/4 cups sugar
juice of 1/2 lemon
2 large eggs
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup whole milk
1 TB vanilla
Combine peaches, 1/2 cup sugar, and lemon juice.
Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours,
stirring every 30 minutes or so.
Remove peaches from refrigerator
and drain juice into another bowl.
Return peaches to refrigerator.
Whisk eggs until light and fluffy.
Whisk in remaining sugar, a little at a time.
Continue whisking until completely blended.
Whisk in the cream, milk, vanilla, and reserved peach juice.
Transfer to an ice cream maker
and freeze according to manufacturer's instructions.
Continue freezing until the ice cream is ready.
Makes about 6 cups.

These were some of the juiciest peaches I've had.

Combine peaches, sugar, and lemon juice.
Drain the peaches.
Assemble your mise en place:
2 eggs
1 pt heavy cream
1 cup whole milk
1 cup sugar
Don't forget the vanilla.

Beat eggs, gradually add in remaining sugar,
then mix in vanilla, cream, milk and peach syrup.

Pour mixture into ice cream maker.

Process according to manufacturer's directions.

About the last five minutes,
add in the peaches.

Oh my.
This is Heaven!

6 cups worth

Oh my!
Again, I say!!

My mouth is so happy.
My mouth is doing a happy dance.

You must make this.
