Figs, Figs, Figs.

Here's a nice appetizer for you.
FIGS!

I've got two fig trees and I have figs out the wazoo.

Slice figs in half.

Add a slice of bleu cheese.
Now, if you're not a fan of the bleu,
use a goat cheese... Brie ... you'll be good.

 Wrap it in prosciutto.

Run under the broiler until prosciutto crisps up
and bleu cheese melts.

Drizzle some of Mr. Hawthorne's sourwood honey over top,
along with a reduced balsamic vinegar.

To make a balsamic reduction,
pour balsamic vinegar into a small saucepan.
Place over diffused heat.
I place my saucepan inside a cast iron skillet.
If you do this over direct heat,
there's a very good chance you can burn it
when you get right to the end.
Diffused heat.
Once you burn this mess, you will thank me.

Heat low and slow,
until balsamic vinegar is syrupy and has reduced by half.

That's the ticket.
Fig Bliss!
