Crock Pot Cookoff!

Ever-alert Xmaskatie kindly left this notice from the local newspaper on my kitchen counter. In addition she sent me an email with dozens of wonderful crock pot arrrussupies. Beef, pork, poultry, fish and seafood, soup, stew, and chili, barbecue, side dishes, miscellaneous, and desserts. You name it. There's a crock pot recipe for it. Here's one of my favorites: Cheap roast with Coke.
50+ Friends Club Cookbook -- Crock Pot Cooking -- Roast Cooked With CokeFrom the Kitchen of: H@ppy
1 lb. roast -- cheap cut
    1 bottle ketchup
    1 can Coke
    1 pkg. onion soup

Put on low in crockpot for 6-8 hours. If you want it thicker, when done add flour and water. Put on buns, potatoes or bread.

I'm sure the kitchen of H@ppy is indeed a happy place.

Here are some recipes for crock pot seafood:

Shrimp Curry Macaroni Salad

and

Tuna Casserole

I always like my shrimp well-done and the three-hour cooking time would definitely accomplish that. Plus nine hours to cook canned tuna sounds really yummy.

I know my mouth is watering.

I really should have paid closer attention to Aunt Sandy when she was crock potting. This recipe in particular caught my attention. Stew meat, meatloaf seasoning, Merlot, and bittersweet chocolate - Classic Sandra Lee. Should I enter?
