I brought Irene inside to keep her safe.

    Thanks, Vera. We're fine. Water came just to the top of the bulkhead, but it's gone down already. No damage here!

    Looks like we all dodged a bullet this time. We had a little rain yesterday but it's all clear now.

    We were very, very lucky, Vera. Ever since Irene, we've been a bit gun shy here. We prefer to err on the side of safety. Assume the worse.
