Mr. Hawthorne Makes A Blueberry Pie.

Mr. Hawthorne is on a roll here.
He found some blueberries hiding in the freezer and decided to make a blueberry pie.
He's Semi-Ho'ing it with a Pillsbury Pie Crust, which I always have in the freezer in case I need pie in a pinch. These "unroll and fill" crusts are far superior to the prepared crusts already in the pan.
Mr. Hawthorne unrolled his dough ...
... and pricked his pie. You pricker you.
Blueberries into the pan.
Over low heat.
Ingredients for the blueberry filling. 1 heaping TB cornstarch dissolved in just enough water, maybe 2-3 TB 1/2 cup Splenda (You could use sugar.) 1/4 cup honey and ...
... 1 quart blueberries. If you'd prefer strawberries, then swap out.
Mr. Hawthorne added the honey and the sugar to his blueberries and ...
... let the blueberries cook.
Next he made his cornstarch slurry. Just mix the cornstarch in the water until dissolved ...
... and pour into the blueberries.
Mr. Hawthorne baked his pie crust before filling.
He dotted the bottom with cream cheese ...
... then poured in the filling.
And wallah! (As Aunt Sandy would say.) We got PIE! Start time: 6:18. Finish time: 7:10.
