May 18, 2012. On The Road From Vegas To Cedar City Utah.

The Hawthornes left Las Vegas

and headed to Cedar City, Utah.

Enjoy the scenery.

See those two tiny dots in the center?

Nellis Air Force Base is near by

and we got to see a lot of jets

during our stay in Vegas.

Don't know what kind of mining is going on here,

although I do know there is rare earth mining outside of Vegas

- the only rare earth mining in the Western Hemisphere.

Middle of the desert

and here's a green green golf course.

Only a few millions of years of geologic processes

going on to produce what I'm looking at.
