I must give you one more video of Fred Astaire and Eleanor Powell.
I love this video.
Especially because I have this:
It's an 8 x 10 glossy of Eleanor Powell with a little note,
signed by Eleanor herself, to my dear neighbor, Rita.
I found this photograph in her house when I was cleaning it out.
Rita already had a singing career and was under contract with MGM Studios and on her way to a career in movies when she gave it up to get married.
Interestingly enough, Doris Day took her place.
