May 3, 2012. On The Road From Meridian, Idaho, To Bend, Oregon.

Enjoy the scenery from
Meridian, Idaho,
to Bend, Oregon.

Gas pipeline?
Wonder what sort of negotiations
went on to put this across the farmer's land.

A gray day.

Baby volcano?

Enjoy the land and the formations.

Clouds kissing the mountaintops.

You know...you're in my neck of the woods (I'm in Nevada about 5 miles south of Bend, OR) so don't say anything too bad. LOL
Everything has it's beauty....

And I meant HOURS ....5 hours, not miles, from Bend.

Very pretty, but I think I need more GREEN for everyday.

I just can't grasp the desolate plains and the lonely mountain landscapes. I need my woodlands and my hills and hollers.

Even now I feel itchy when I return to my "roots" and the flatlands of my birth.

Hi, Debbie. You're in Winnemucca, right? I've seen beautiful pics on your blog of your region, but unfortunately, Winnemucca isn't on our agenda this trip.

Friends of Tabby, I need GREEN too. But we're both fascinated by the geology.

Mar, I hear ya!
