It's Turkey Day
and now I'm making a cranberry relish, of sorts.
I poured half a bag of cranberries in the pot.
Then I added the leftover pomegranate arils
from the other day
when I made the
pomegranate salsa.
I added about 1/2 cup sugar
to the cranberries and pomegranates.
And 1/2 cup orange juice.
I brought the mixture to a boil,
and simmered for about 10 minutes.
Then I added a handful of raisins.
Zested some orange peel
into the mix
and it was perfection.
The cranberries were excellent.
I took one bite
and it exploded ruby, delicious cranberry goodness
into my mouth.
Quite exciting.
