Mr. Hawthorne Makes Ham Salad.

While I was making my chicken salad, Mr. Hawthorne was making a traditional ham salad.
Here's Mr. Hawthorne's luncheon plate - a plethora of salads. Wild rice salad. Chicken salad. Ham salad. On a bed of romaine lettuce. With strawberries and apples. And pickles. And Triscuits.
Mr. Hawthorne was quite proud of himself. I gave him a 10 out of a possible 10 on plating.
Mr. Hawthorne's Ham Salad: 2 cups finely chopped ham We like Kentucky Legend Double Smoked Ham, available at Food Lion on the beach and apparently available at some WalMarts. 1 stalk celery, chopped 2 TB onion, chopped 2 TB sweet relish scant tsp yellow mustard 1/4 cup mayo freshly ground salt and pepper to taste
Add ham, celery, onion, and sweet relish to bowl.
Give it a little squirt of yellow mustard.
Plop of mayo.
Mr. Hawthorne's starting platescape.
Mr. Hawthorne's finished platescape. Pretty!
