Rosie Makes Country Style Ribs.

Yesterday, I posted about my Overnight Baby Back Ribs.
Today, I'm doing country style ribs.

Rosie is happily clearing out space in the extra freezer
so Mr. Hawthorne can pack it back up again.
Tonight, I'm cooking ribs.

Usually Mr. Hawthorne simmers these on the stove top.
Mr. Hawthorne ain't here now,
so I'm going with a dry rub and a three-hour steam bath.

I made a rub with equal amounts of
smoked sea salt, black pepper,
oregano, paprika, onion powder,
granulated garlic, and Creole seasoning.

Rub seasoning mixture into the ribs
and place on a rack.

Pour in about an inch of water.

I poured in about 3 tablespoons of hickory liquid smoke.

Seal completely in foil.
Bake in a 300 degree oven for 3 hours.
Leave it alone.

Mr. Hawthorne liked my rub.

Falling off the bone tender.

I pulled the meat off the bones and chopped it up.

Then I gave it some BBQ lovin'.
Use your favorite barbecue sauce.
I'm using Sycamore Falls Sweet Honey BBQ sauce
from my friend and fellow blogger, Mar,
 Thanks again, Mar.

 Enjoy!
Get you some of those
Hawaiian savory rolls.
Butter and grill them.
Add your favorite BBQ sauce and cole slaw.

And a Big HIGH FIVE!

You're welcome, Rosie!

I like to do country style ribs in the slow cooker. Easy and I don't have to think about it.
