The Squeaky Wheel Gets The Grease.

 Hello, Readers.
In case you missed it,
Rosie got in a snit the other day
and posted about her cable service.
I believe the title of this particular post was,
Charter Communications, You Suck!
Click on the link to see examples of what's been going on here.

Anyhoos, to make a short story long,
Rosie bitched on her blog about a sitchayshun
which has been going on for a loooooooong time.
I'm thinking at least six months,
but I'm old, so it's probably much longer.

If you click on the above link
and check out the videos,
you'll see what my reception has been on certain channels.
Particularly, the FOOD NETWORK.

Personally, we know of 4 prior service appointments
referring to this problem.
But because I'm old,
I've forgotten about all the others.

Charter should have that information.

Oh, but I digest.

Within 24 hours after I posted about my problems with Charter,
I received an email from Corey Breto, a local Charter supervisor.
offering to assist me.

I thank you, Mr. Breto.

I responded to him and received another message that
a technician would be hear within a 30-minute window.
Never had that before.
(Usually the windows are like 9-12 or 1-5.)
This one was 2:30-3:00
They arrived at 3.

Two technicians!
With a cherry picker!

This is all going down Wednesday afternoon.

 Problem not solved.
They'll be back.

Good Neighbor Zippy is over for his afternoon Mist.

 Fast forward to Thursday afternoon.
 Three vehicles today!
 Within an hour,
a fourth backup is here!

Hahahahahahahahahahahaha!

As to the reception sitchayshun,
so far, so good.

I thank you, gentlemen,
for finely and finally fixing my cable service.
(They ran a new cable in.)

The funny part about all of this
is that, personally,
the ol' man and I can't get shit done.

But that fierce bitch, Rosie, can!

Thank you, Charter Communications.
Never thought I'd be typing those words.

Charter Communications, Your Service Sucks!

OK, Charter Communications, here's your chance to make good. Two nights ago, somebody plowed into a phone pole right outside the harbor where I live. Thankfully, there were no serious injuries. Except to Rosie. Her power went out first, but that was restored in a few hours. She lost her internet for a while and I swear she was on the verge of panic. At least the cable stayed on because that would have been hell to pay putting up with Mr. Hawthorne. HOWEVER, my PHONE SERVICE has been OUT for OVER 24 HOURS. I find this UNACCEPTABLE. Especially when my next door neighbor has not been inconvenienced by this. There's no telling how many important calls Mr. Hawthorne and I have missed, as we are incredibly popular people. Add my upcoming birthday to the mix and you can see the problems I face. I absolutely MUST be available to all my well-wishers. How 'bout stepping up to the plate, CHARTER, and FIX MY PHONE!

Thank You To Eric and Josh At Charter Communications.

about my internet provider,
Charter Communications,
and the problem I was having getting
emails from my neighbor.
Whenever I get good service,
I appreciate it
and want people to know,
especially after I've been bitching about that service.
Within a few hours
(I had posted at 7 AM),
I received a comment on my blog
and an email from Eric,
Manager Communications of Charter.
He had sent my problem to his net guru Josh,
Communications Specialist,
and I immediately received an email from Josh.
Seems my neighbor's email is being blocked
by Charter's spam blocker.
Now the ball's in my neighbor's court.
He has to send his original message to Charter
so they can unblock him.
So, I'd just like to thank both Eric and Josh
at Charter Communications,
once again,
for your prompt reply
and attention to my problem.
Your help is most appreciated.

Charter Communications, Fix My Email.

Back in February,
I had a problem with my internet provider,
Charter Communications,
concerning emails I was not receiving.
I posted about it
Apparently,
Charter has google alerts set up
to check on this sort of thing,
because the next day after posting my complaint,
I got an email from Eric at Charter
which he did.
And thank you again to Eric and Josh
for your prompt attention
and for fixing my problem.
Well, I'm having problems again
and I'm not getting certain emails.
My neighbor Bob
called me about some emails he'd sent me.
They'd come back to him as
undeliverable and no such account.
There was someone else he was emailing to,
also a customer of Charter,
and he was getting her emails bounced back as well.
After learning this from Bob,
I called Charter yesterday.
After talking to a lady whom I could barely understand,
I was told there was nothing wrong with my account,
since I was able to email myself.
I beg to differ.
There is something wrong with my account
if I'm not getting emails.
As much as I enjoy emailing myself,
I also enjoy, perhaps even more,
receiving emails from others.
.
I still am not getting my neighbor's emails.
And if I'm not getting his,
I have to wonder
who else is sending me emails I'm not getting.
For all I know,
I could have won the lottery.
Or there could be some next of kin I don't know about
in Nigeria that was killed in a plane crash
and their bank needs to contact me
and send me that $28,000,000.
Help me out here, Charter!

Thank YouTo Eric And Josh At Charter Communications.

I guess one could say I do a fair amount of bitching in my blog. After all, it is my blog and it can be cathartic at times and it's certainly cheaper than therapy. So, the other day I was complaining about Charter Communications. Xmaskatie had been sending me emails and either I didn't get them at all or they would straggle in hours or days later. Well, yesterday afternoon, I received a comment on my post (see Charter link above) from Eric at Charter:
Eric Ketzer said...

Hello Rosie, I am sorry to hear you have been having some challenges with Charter. I just wanted to reach out to see how I could make things better. My name is Eric Ketzer. I am a manager at Charter. If there is anything I can assist with, please e-mail me at Umatter2Charter@chartercom.com Thanks, Eric

Being the squeaky (or in this case, bitchy) wheel that I can be, things get done. Mr. Ketzer and I spoke, and he had Josh call me and we discussed the problems I was having and this morning, I received all of Xmaskatie's emails from 02/20 - 02/21. So, thank you Eric and Josh of Charter Communications for fixing my email service. I appreciate it.

Troubles With Charter Communications.

I received a phone call this afternoon from Xmaskatie. She was a tad upset with me, since she had sent me a stream of emails, some requesting responses, and I hadn't responded. She felt I was dissing her. We worked out our problems and we're still best buds and everything. What was happening was that she sent me a slew of emails to my charter address and I didn't receive a one of them. I told her to try sending them to my rosiehawthorne@aim.com email address and I received them immediately. I kept going back to Outlook with my other address and hitting on Send/Receive. Nada. I've also noticed in the past few weeks, lots of times when Xmaskatie would send me an email, the sent time would be at, say 10:17 am, and the received time would be at 5:43pm. HUH? So, enough of this. I called Charter Communications. It took 6 phone calls until I finally got a human being. I kept getting cut off with a fast busy signal. First, I had to hit one to speak English. (That just kills me right there.) Then I waited through the menu and hit 3 to talk about Internet problems. Then I got the helpful, happy lady on a recording who asks me questions, and cheers me on as I provide answers for her. "Very good. We're almost there now." Finally, over her calmly asking me stuff, I yell into the phone, "Give me an effin' human being!!!!" Robotic voice: "Would you like to speak to an agent?" "YES!!!!" "One moment, please." I wait and wait and wait and finally get someone to whom English is a 3rd or 4th language. I explain to her/him? that I'm not receiving emails from my friend Xmaskatie. I tell her/him that I knew she was sending but they didn't come in, but they did come in on my AIM account. Then, (I love this part.) she/he asks me: "Are there any other emails you are not getting?" WTF?? How the hell would I know that? Reminds me back when I used to work at the bank. There was some woman who happened to be the wife of my electrician at the time, and my electrician was a pretty smart guy, but his wifey was dumb as dirt. She regularly bounced checks - to the tune of $300-$400 in bank charges every month. Banks love customers like her. She'd come into the bank, at least 3 times a week, with her check register in hand. And she'd have me look up on the computer all her cleared checks, while she marked them in her checkbook. Then she would ask me, "Can you tell me the ones that haven't cleared yet?" WELL, JUST LET ME GET MY CRYSTAL BALL OUT! But, once again, I digress. Back to whomever I talked to at Charter Communications. Here's the reason for my glitch in receiving emails: Charter is doing "system upgrades" and has "run into issues." They have "maintenance and system issues to resolve." People are sending me emails but they are "pending." Thank you so much, Charter Communications, for taking care of my problem. Or at least for explaining that you are inept. Would this have anything to do with my "issues?" Thanks, Marilyn, for sending more of the love my way. More of the love. I'm nothing, if not about the love.
