Xmaskatie was kind enough to send me
these photos a friend had sent her this afternoon.
She always told me me to be careful
when I was driving on the beach.
(I drive a white Avalanche, too.)
And apparently, these people have nothing better to do,
except watch a truck be swallowed by
the Atlantic Ocean.
Hell, I just wish I had been there.
"Wudja jes luk at dat truck out der.
Poor summbich.
Heeeeeere's yer sign."
This is in South Nags Head.
Poor schmuck.
OK.
I'm trying to figure this one out.
In the middle picture,
I notice an orange emergency beacon
on the front of the truck.
Maybe this truck was on a mission
and just broke down.
Then was eaten by the ocean,
before anybody could tow him out.
I want to know the story on this one,
because you just don't casually
drive out on the beach in these conditions.
Check out this video.
