I decided to take a little trip to the beach today
for a quick dip in the ocean.
I started at the right hand side of Avalon Pier, swam out to the end of the pier,
then body surfed back to this side.
It was quite invigorating.
By the way,
I live about 5 miles from the ocean,
and I could hear the roar of the ocean at home.

Years ago we vacationed on the Outer Banks and I would just sit out on the balcony and watch the ocean. I have to admit that until then I had no idea why people loved to look at the ocean. And can I tell you? The Pacific Ocean at Acapulco, Mexico has nothing on the Atlantic.
That wasn’t the ocean; it was my stomach growling for some of that onion soop.
