Road Trip!!!!

Mr. Hawthorne and I are getting ready to go on a road trip tomorrow. And, yes, xmaskatie, I am excited now. I've cleaned house, cleaned the fridge, cleaned the bathrooms, washed the bed linens, done everything I can think of to have a nice house ready for xmaskatie to come and babysit Dixie. Oh, shoot, I forgot to mention that I cleaned up the whole kitchen. That involves taking out all the burner thingies, washing them, and cleaning out the stove top. Then, I took all the crap off of the stove shelf and cleaned them, plus cleaning every bit of stainless steel in sight. It was a lotofwork! I'm getting my stuff ready to leave tomorrow. I have my computer bag ready to put this laptop in. I have my little Nikon Cool Pix bag ready for my little digicam. I have my big camera bag with my Nikon DigiSLR with lenses ready to go. I have my Zip Lock bag with all my USB cords, my charger cords for the batteries for the Nikon Cool Pix and for the Nikon Digi D80 and for my cell phone. I have all the instruction manuals, cause that's what I do on a road trip: read my instruction manuals. All I need to do is pack clothes. Wish me luck, everyone!

You actually read the instruction manuals?? Oh... I knew I loved you. ;)

But, if you were reading all about how to get a customized mailing list out of your database software, convert cellular phone calls to the internet, configure cellular base stations, connect your home networking equipment or calibrate semiconductor test equipment on your trip.... you'd be reading my stuff and I might have to apologize.

Oh my, what lovely accommodations! Everything is so clean and neat. I tried a spring roll and had a taste of the chicken for lunch, delicious! Thanks.
Glowria stopped by and we took Katie & Dixie for a walk. Glowria had Dixie, and just wondering, is it normal for Dixie to just decide to stop and not want to go forward, backward, or sideways? There were no cars or anything, and she wasn't sniffing or looking at something. She just stopped. You should have seen G coaxing Dixie, petting her head, telling her she could have a treat if she'd just move back towards the Hawthorne estate. Dixie started walking again when she was ready; maybe she was just taking a break?

Yes, xmaskatie, it is perfectly normal for Dixie to stop and not move. Usually I just drop her leash and continue on and she follows. Then sometimes not.
