Last night, Wednesday,
I woke up about 1:15-1:30 to a lovely thunderstorm.
And even more wonderful rain.
One thing that helped us immensely
during this hurricane
is that we have been in a drought period.
Had we not,
we would have had a much worse problem
than we do already.
The nice thing about the rain last night
is that it washed off the brackishness
enveloping and choking the vegetation.
Sadly, I lost my herb garden.
But be sure I will show you my efforts
in reestablishing it.
I lost oregano, three different types of thymes,
my sage, sorrel, lemon grass, fennel,
and the rosemary is browning.
Scared to eat what parsley, chives, and scallions might be left.
No cilantro.
I discovered my tarragon is getting some green growth.
All is not lost.
I need to go to a few nurseries to obtain
everything I need to establish before winter.
I woke up to the rain this morning.
It was lovely.
