WHOOT! The First Oysters Of The Season!

Consider the oyster.
Oyster season recently opened and we got our first oysters at Billy's Seafood. Give 'em a good rinsing off.
Mr. Hawthorne steamed these. All you need is melted butter.
Sometimes, I like a sprinkling of parsley and scallions.
If you're lucky, you'll get a little crabbie.
