I had a wonderful surprise today. Middle Hawthorne came home from college this afternoon. I asked him what he wanted to eat, and he said anything. I guess being in your first apartment and not having a meal ticket will do that.Mr. H. and I fixed pork loins, quail (which the boys had shot on one of their hunting trips with Mr. H.), smashed potatoes, and steamed broccoli and carrots.
It was quite good.
