Maxine And Rosie Take A Stroll Along The Riverwalk.

Whenever I'm in Danville, Maxine and I take in the beautiful Riverwalk Trail. I've blogged about it before here. As a matter of fact, a Richmond, Va. magazine, Fifty Plus, contacted me and asked to use one of my Riverwalk photographs in their July issue. Here's the link. I don't know why they chose that particular photo since I had so many better ones. The Danville Riverwalk really is one of the nicest features in Danville. The trail meanders along the Dan River and joggers, bikers, walkers, and fishermen enjoy it daily. It has picnic tables and grills set up for cookouts and is truly a lovely area to walk and enjoy the scenery.
This time, we walked a different section of the trail, starting at Angler's Park. Enjoy the pictures.
I love sycamores.
And I love the way the sunlight filters through the canopy of trees.
Here's a video from mid-bridge. Turtles in the water and geese on the shore.
This is the bridge in the background I was standing on to take the video.
After the Riverwalk, Maxine took me to a new development in Danville, overlooking the Dan River. The houses were expensive and butt-ugly but they had nice views of the river.

Wow you have been published. What a neat deal. Was the river up? It looked like it was high to me.

No. I don't think the Dan River was up.
But I pass by two lakes on the way up here and they were down. Not way down like last year, but still down.
