XKT And Rosie Visit Nemours Mansion & Gardens. We Finish Our Tour At The Carriage House. Part 14.

After touring the mansion and gardens, Liz, our bus driver, picked us up for the last stop of the day - the garage.
Here's the Chauffeur's garage.
The balconies are nice. The one on the left is square.
The balcony on the right is round
Our bus tour at Nemours stopped at the Chauffeur's Garage, which houses 5 automobiles, a pony carriage, and the motor launch used by the du Ponts to ferry visitors across the Little Choptank River to their Chesapeake retreat. Originally, this building served as the residence for the chauffer. I thought I heard our guide, Liz, mention that du Pont was the first Delawarian to own and drive a car.
Let's see if I can get this right. I believe this is a 1922 Cadillac.
A 21 Rennault.
1951 Rolls Royce Silver Wraithe Blueberry Blue (original paint).
1960 Rolls Royce Phantom 5 The Rolls were for his wife. Personally, du Pont didn't care for them. As for the Rolls, I think only 7 were made of the Phantom 5. Elton John owns one.
1933 Buick Coupe Good for running booze during prohibition.
Pony carriage.
Launch used by the du Ponts to ferry visitors across the Little Choptank River to their Chesapeake retreat. Capable of being converted to a sail boat.
And there ends our tour of Nemours. We are off to Cambridge, Maryland, for the night.
