October 14, 2011. Bikers And A Cutie In Robbinsville, NC.

After traveling the Cherohala Skyway back from Tellico Plains, TN, to Robbinsville, NC, we stopped at a little diner, Lynn's Place, in Robbinsville, for lunch. This area is full of bikers going on the Cherohala Skyway or the nearby Tail of the Dragon (318 curves in 11 miles!).

We were sitting at the booth next to the window when I noticed this little cutie outside ready to ride.

Meet Harley.

We each had the salad bar and I had something I've never had before and will be making when I get home. Check out the bottom of my plate. Next to the rotini. Know what that is? I didn't either. I was guessing some type of grain. Nope. It's a cornbread salad and it's light, lovely, delicious, and different. We asked the waitress and she'd made it. It's crumbled cornbread (white), some mayo, a little vinegar, a little sugar, some diced peppers and onions, and salt and pepper. Terrific!
