We went to a Burns Dinner last weekend! My cousin has one every year! I hope to get the blog up in the next week or so! Colin now wants to play the bagpipes ; )
LOL! Nice trick ; ) My cousin orders his haggis on from the wonderful internet. I did try it once. Not awful, but not my favorite. My hubby enjoys it and ate two helpings this year!
In September, 2007, I started this blog as I began a much needed kitchen remodel. The original intention of my blog was to show how to maintain a certain level of kitchen savvy while having no kitchen and to show my readers what was actually involved in a kitchen remodel.
The remodel was over by November 2007.
And I continued the blog.
I have continued my blog because I love cooking and eating and I love sharing with you.
As Mr. Hawthorne has always said, "Every meal is a celebration of life."
As well it should be.
Thank you for reading.
Love always, Rosie
P.S. The title of my blog, Kitchens Are Monkey Business, comes from Sandra Lee of Semi-Homemade Cooking With Sandra Lee, which is hands-down one of the funniest sitcoms on TV today. Sandra always refers to things like "cooking from scratch" as monkey business. "Jobs and family." Yep. Monkey Business. "Drinking and driving." All Monkey Business.

Honestly Lea, I've never met anyone who's eaten haggis. Good for you!
It tastes sweet, actually. Odd texture but not revolting, as one would expect it to be! Maybe it's the Scot in me.....
Happy Birthday Rosie! Hope Mr. Hawthorne is treating YOU with something other than haggis!
