Mr. Hawthorne Makes Asparagus Roll Ups.

We were at Sam's Club the other day and saw these lovely asparagus. Had to have 'em. Mr. Hawthorne fixed a little appetizer for us. He dropped the asparagus in salted, boiling water and cooked for 1 1/2 minutes. Immediately plunge the asparagus in ice water to stop the cooking and keep the fresh green color. Next he wrapped the asparagus in thinly sliced deli ham. Excellent finger food for a party.

I made those again tonight with puff pastry wrapped around. Dipped in coarse grained mustard. Wonderful!
