In September, 2007, I started this blog as I began a much needed kitchen remodel. The original intention of my blog was to show how to maintain a certain level of kitchen savvy while having no kitchen and to show my readers what was actually involved in a kitchen remodel.

The remodel was over by November 2007.

And I continued the blog.

I have continued my blog because I love cooking and eating and I love sharing with you.

As Mr. Hawthorne has always said, "Every meal is a celebration of life."

As well it should be.

P.S. The title of my blog, Kitchens Are Monkey Business,
comes from Sandra Lee of Semi-Homemade Cooking With Sandra Lee, which is hands-down one of the funniest sitcoms on TV today. Sandra always refers to things like "cooking from scratch" as monkey business. "Jobs and family." Yep.
