Rosie Makes Her World Famous Birthday Cake.

Want some?

Rosie is making a birthday cake today.
It's the pineapple one I make for every occasion.
I've blogged about it numerous times before,
but just in case you missed it,
here it is again.

One of the Little Hawthornes' friend's birthday is today,
and I'm making him my world-famous birthday cake.
Anytime a friend has a birthday,
this is the cake I make for them.
It's delicious.
It's simple.
It's quick.
It's everybody's favorite.

And just to show you how fast it is,
I'm including my undoctored pictures of the oven clock.
I started at 12:24
and turned the oven to 350 degrees.

 I assembled my ingredients:
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
2 tsp baking soda
2 eggs, beaten
1 20-ounce can crushed pineapple
1 TB vanilla
 Whisk dry ingredients.
Add in eggs, pineapple and juice, and vanilla.
Mix completely.
Pour into buttered 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake at 350 for about 30-40 minutes.
Let cool before icing.

Whenever measuring dry ingredients,
use the scoop and sweep method.

Whisk the flour, sugar, and baking soda.

Stir in beaten eggs.

Pour in entire contents - crushed pineapple and juice.

Mix well.

Pour into buttered 9 x 13 dish.

And my cake is ready for the oven.
But the oven is not ready for the cake.
I had time to wash and dry
the bowl, beaters, and measuring cup
and put them away
before the temperature got to 350 degrees.

My cake was ready in 39 minutes.

I cut this in half
since my Hawthornelets will want some.

Be sure the cake is thoroughly cooled
before you frost it.
Icing:
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 stick butter, softened
2 cups confectioners sugar
1 TB vanilla
Beat cream cheese and butter.
Beat in sugar a little bit at a time.
Beat in vanilla.
Spread over cooled cake.

Next time you need to bake a cake,
this is the one you need to bake.
It's so moist.
So easy.
So quick.
So delicious.

So gone...
