I'm probably 99.9% sure I've said, "I hate Guy Fieri" on my blog, but truth is I don't hate anybody.
I tend to hyperbolize.
I dislike the personae. I dislike how Food Network takes a fairly nice person and turns that person into a PERSONALITY that is a CHARACTER of their former self.
I do not like Guy's spiked, bleached hair, the tats, the bling, the sweatbands, the board shorts, the knuckle-thumping, the sunglasses on the back of his head, the catchphrases, the homies. (Even though all that was a given from the git-go.) I could go on, but you get the picture. I am not in Guy's "demographic."
That said, I feel it my duty to attend this event. I'm putting feelers out already.
I totally agree with you ...I don't like his personae either...way too over the top. Hope you do get a front row seat! Would love to hear first hand about it.
i know you hate him...how do you feel about this?
