Middle Hawthorne's Puppy.

Middle Hawthorne came home last weekend with Precious Puppy.

Just because he's so cute, I must add in some pictures of Beau Rattlesnake, my son's puppy. And Dixie does not understand this intruder, this interloper, at all,
nor does she tolerate him.
He, joyfully, yea, gleefully, follows Dixie all over the place as she tries to avoid him, having nothing to do with him, but Beau perseveres.
Dumb ass.

Maybe when he gets older she might speak to him.
If this were another dog in the neighborhood, Dixie would attack him.
But she knows it's my son's dog, or maybe not a dog, but some kind of critter, and knows she's supposed to allow it in her space.
That doesn't mean she has to like it though.

Here's Beau, ensconced on Queen Dixie's pillow.
Dixie hates this.
She won't get back on it until I wash it.

I wish Beau and Dixie could be friends.
Maybe.
Later.

we can help. I was petting Dixie and Beau at the same time and Dixie tolerated his proximity definitely more than she would in any other condition. So she can learn that good feelings CAN possibly occur in Beau's presence.
