A wonderful neighbor,who's no longer with us, gave me this snake plant for Christmas many years ago. I looked at it the other day and thought I saw a weed coming up in the pot.
Upon closer inspection, I saw that the snake plant was producing a bloom.
I never knew these plants bloomed.
It's quite a lovely bloom.
And if you look closely, you'll see little droplets of nectar.
According to information Marilyn, of FoodiesUntie,
sent me, the flowers are "nocturnally fragrant."
And yes, I can attest to that fact.
This morning when I sniffed, there was no perceptible odor.
Now, there's a very delicate, light, sweet fragrance.
