Saturday Morning Snow!

Saturday morning, we woke up to SNOW!

See how excited 1/2 inch of snow makes me?

We left on our trip about 10:30 this morning and it had just started snowing again.

This is the world-class Pirates Cove Marina on the Nags Head/Manteo Causeway.

Busted.

This is the house that sweet potatoes built. We always stop here in the fall to buy sweet potatoes at a road side stand.

We went through fairly heavy snow (for us) until we got about an hour inland. Did I tell you that I love snow?

Got to Danville. Dear Maxine is ill and I couldn't stay with her. Got to Mama's house and that's not really stayable at. As in I could but don't want to. So Mr. Hawthorne decided to stay with me tonight and we checked into a Holiday Inn Express. He'll take me to and leave me at Mama's tomorrow after breakfast so's I can pack stuff and he'll go to his mother's 90th birthday party and come back tomorrow night and pick me up and back to the HI-Exp. Then, back to the beach Monday. Where I hear they're expecting MORE SNOW!!!!!!
