Friday Night Dinner With Marion.

It is Friday night. And My Dear Friend Marion is here. Snow will be starting later tonight.
I think Marion is looking positively Italian tonight what with the green bottle of Beck's beer, her white shirt, and jaunty red scarf. And she made that lovely loaf of bread.
Whilst Marion perused The French Laundry cookbook, Rosie prepped din-din. I have fresh spinach, shallot, mustard, cream, and Parmesan cheese. Do you have any idea what I'm making tonight?
I chopped and grated.
I sauteed.
I creamed. (Heh. 12.)
I nutmegged.
I mustarded.
Creamed some more.
Sherried.
HA! Rosie's making an oyster topping.
For a second topping, Rosie took some of Mr. Hawthorne's corn salsa .
Isn't this lovely? And the red, green, and white here echo Marion's Italian vibe.
On top of the spinach ersters, I crushed Ritz crackers and grated Parmesan cheese.
On top of the salsa'd ersters, I crumbled tortilla chips.
I placed thin slices of Mozzarella on top of the salsters.
More crumbled Ritz. And I added some Panko, too.
Parmesan on top.
Action shot of Parm.
I love this picture of Marion.
I heated up some Lobster Bisque and topped with the lobster bits and bacon and creme fraiche and oyster crackers. I believe Marion was amenable to this.
The oysters took a brief sojourn under the broiler.
Lookin' good.
Salsa topped oysters with crushed tortillas and mozzarella. Spinach and shallot topped oysters with crumbled Ritz and Panko and Parmesan. Steamed oysters with butter/lemon sauce.
I'm a whore for oysters.
Heh, heh, heh. 12.

The last oyster makes a great complement to the penis bread loaf you made!
