I love these crinkly, pretty Chocolate Pixies.
Chocolate Pixies
4 1-oz squares unsweetened chocolate
1/2 stick butter
4 large eggs
2 cups sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup chopped pecans, toasted
1/2 cup powdered sugar
Melt butter and chocolate.
Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition.
Gradually add sugar, beating until blended.
Stir in vanilla.
Combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually add to chocolate mixture,
beating at low speed until blended.
Stir in pecans.
Cover and chill at least 2 hours.
Shape into small balls.
Roll in powdered sugar and place on lightly greased baking sheets.
Bake at 300 for about 16 minutes.
Remove to wire racks to cool.

I love the smell of melted chocolate and butter.
Beat in the eggs, one at a time.
Slowly ...
... beat in sugar.
Add in vanilla.
I always add in more vanilla than a recipe calls for.
With speed on low,
beat in flour.
Add chopped nuts.
Roll into small balls
and coat with powdered sugar.
Pretty little Pixies.
