My Garden Today.

After a lot of rain for the past week,
and temperatures in the 50's and 40's,
today was a glorious day.
Sunny, warm - in the 70's.
Dixie and Glowria and I took our long walk - 5 + miles.
I felt like I had accomplished something.
Then I got back home and planted the perennials I'd bought at WalMart a week or so ago.

Here are my red petunias, in full glory, which actually over-wintered.
My purple verbena is in the background.
And I planted the yellow marigolds about a month ago.

Here are my very first roses of the season.

My yellow tulips.

This lovely mound of red petunias lasted over the winter season.
We had a very mild winter this year.
Aren't they lovely?

My beautiful verbena.

Dianthus with purple salvia in the background.

My purple verbena a'blooming, with my Foxglove (Digitalis) behind it.
Oh, just wait till that blooms.
It's bee-yoo-tee-full.

Red Pee-toon-ies, purple verbena, and yellow marigolds.

Pink Dianthus in the foreground.
Purple Erysimum in the background.

Pretty yellow tulips.

My funky tulip in the backyard.

Hope you enjoyed the tour of my garden.
More to come.

It is easier to click anonymous than to login with my user name and password, which I usually have to retype for some reason, but just in case you were wondering, xmaskatie was the author of the above post (and obviously this one too).
Love ya!

Heh... I didn't wonder for a minute. I knew exactly who posted B.I.T.C.H.
It's music to my ears. Sing it, Sistah!

Waaaah! Rosie, no fair! Those are lovely flowers. And MY Chicago weather is promising me temps in the 30s and rain with a chance of snow. The joys of April - just enough teaser about the garden with the weather, and then get slammed with yuck.

Ah, Rosie. I love your garden (the real one). I have to cover up my impatiens and tomatoes and pepper plants tonight.
