Cheeky Gulls.

You never know what you might encounter in any beach parking lot.
I shot these April 19. Just getting around to posting. Rosie tries to have backup drafts in place for when she is facing a dearth of exercise in her kitchen. Sometimes, I just lose my mojo and need to go in a different direction to replenish. Actually, what's happened is I've been cooking on 6 burners for all the little Hawthornes and their friends and tip-toeing around the living room/kitchen/dining area in the wee hours because someone is on my sofa. Then I take three of the dogs on a 2-mile run. Lately, Dixie has been begging out. She gets to the hump down the road and sits and waits until we go around the block and are coming back to her again. Then she wags her tail and comes to greet me. I have cooked. It's not like I really lost my mojo. I've been caught up in "having" to produce. I just wanted time to do different. I've done "hollow leg" food for my brood. I've done hot dogs with the works - Mr. Hawthorne's Excellent Chili, sweet relish, chopped onions, mustard, ketchup. Mr. Hawthorne and I have both shared breakfast duties. Homemade biscuits with sausage and gravy. Bacon, egg, and cheese on whole wheat toast. French toast. I mix eggs, cream, sugar, and vanilla and soak the bread. Egg-in-a-hole with cheese. Grits. Mr. Hawthorne's divine hash browns. Homemade applesauce with toast and softened butter swirled with the sourwood honey Mr. H. brings back from the mountains. Right now, he's cooking spaghetti sauce, spaghetti, and garlic toast. Last night, we served fwied wabbit. It's been constant food. And constant cleaning. And it's not enough. Rosie is officially cooked out. ' ' ' zzz

  4. The Seagulls are so funny!

This week I am starting a weekly meme entitled "Summer Sundays". It's all about whatever summer means to YOU. It could be about seagulls! LOL!
