Rosie Makes Moreover Hash.

A few days ago,
Mr. Hawthorne grilled some London Broil. Now, I can eat off a London Broil for several days. I love a good thinly-sliced beef sandwich with a sour cream and horseradish mixture slathered over my toast. My boys are different, especially Youngest Hawthorne. He doesn't want to eat the same thing in the same guise. I have to make something that looks and tastes different. And Middle Hawthorne won't eat a sandwich. So, what's Rosie to do? She made Moreover Hash.
Leftover London Broil. Two potatoes. One onion.
Dice potatoes and onion.
Saute potatoes in LOLUB and ELBOO.
After a few minutes, add in onions.
Dice the London Broil ...
... and add to the pan.
Add a few shakes of Lawry's Seasoned Pepper and a few grinds of salt.
Pour in a can of beef broth.
Pour in the London Broil juices and let barely simmer about one hour.
And here's my hash. My comfort hash. Took me right back
to Mama Hawthorne's kitchen when she would make hash. It tasted just like Mama's. And that's a good thing. Serve on buttered toast.
