Sometimes you want something quick,
flavorful, and easy.
When Mr. Hawthorne is in this mode,
stand back and leave him alone.

Mr. Hawthorne tossed some shrimp
in ELBOO and LOLUB -
that's Extra Light Bertolli Olive Oil
and Land O' Lakes Unsalted Butter.
Here are Mr. Hawthorne's shrimp.
With this BBQ Sauce:
Sweet Baby Ray's.
If you're not going to make your own BBQ Sauce,
I heartily recommend Ray's.
It's quite good.

Hmmmm ...
What be this?
I believe it is the local, free paper.
That would be the
North Beach Sun.
My issue is opened up to
Ms. Phyllis's Neighborhood column.

if you see ...
anything interesting.

Whoot!
Thanks, Ms. Phyllis!

Mr. Hawthorne also served a cauliflower puree.
He's loving his immersion-blender
I asked for Christmas or for a birthday last year.
My kids love mashed potatoes
so Imonna pull a Sandy-Loo on 'em
and give them cauliflower that
looks like potatoes
but tastes
nothing like them.
Just to screw with the Haw-Spawn!
Heh.
I can be the evul at times.
Aw shucks Rosie...I just calls 'em likes I sees 'em...
