Rosie's Next Project.

My dear friend, Marion, sent me this link and I want to share it with you. It's about cooking lamb testicles. The first picture shows heavily veined testicles hanging in the souk in Damascus - so heavily veined that the veins resemble varicose tattoos. Anyways, I loved this line in Anissa's blog: Lamb testicles for sale in the souk in Damascus — these are a lot more veined than the norm; also it is not often that you find them hung like this. The butcher peels and discards the outer membrane before weighing and cutting them the way you want. Emphasis mine. Thanks, Marion. Now, if I could only find a souk on the Outer Banks.

Might as well just puke now and get it over with.

The Khan el-Khalili souk in Cairo is the bomb. Just make sure you are with Egyptians when you visit.

Gosh, I love connections.

Hmm, I bet Coon Rock Farm in Hillsborough has them - probably organic, too. Isn't Mr. H's birthday coming up? Just the ticket for a nice birthday lunch.

I've always preferred an organic testicle.
