Friday Afternoon. Before Hurricane Irene.

After Rosie and Mr. Hawthorne cleaned up the deck and pool issues, we picked vegetables.
I picked pretty much all of the basil. I'll be making pesto tonight.
A little extra protein rode in on the basil.
I dumped the basil into the sink and filled it up. Wash it and let the debris sink.
Mr. Hawthorne and I picked all the basil leaves off. 6 quarts worth.
Then Mr. Hawthorne and I took a trip out to get duct tape. I don't know why. We had two rolls here, but we went out and bought more. Hey, if you can't fix it with duct tape and WD-40 then screw it. Also, the duct tape I bought at WalGreens is called duck tape. Here's the view down the bypass. Amazing for August.
On the bypass. Boarded up.
View from Colington Road.
Colington Harbor boards up.
We went to pick up Glowria to spend the night with us. I left my truck on high ground. Here' s the view from Glow's.
