Maxine ordered a tomato/basil wrap
with lettuce, provolone cheese,
mushrooms, eggplant, spinach, and tomatoes
and their homemade chips.
Best chip I've ever tasted.
Notice I said chip.
Singular.
Because that's all Maxine would share with me.
The wrap was full of tasty little morsels.
Not only does Sal's have the best chips I've ever tasted,
they also make the absolute best fries.
I betcha the fries in heaven taste like these.
Sal's Italian Grill and Pizzaria.
On Wooding Avenue.
I recommend it.
I noticed I spelled it "pizzaria"
and Sal's spells it "pizzeria."
I'm too lazy to do the research
(i.e. Google it),
so I'll let my readers do the work for me.
Thanks in advance.
Edited to add: OK. Couldn't help myself.
Had to Google it.
My bad.
Oh man, I miss a real Philly cheese steak; that one looks great. Were those fries better than Tortuga's, the best on the beach?
ReplyDeleteI had Tortuga's fries YEARS ago.
ReplyDeleteThey were quite good. I remember the freshly ground pepper on them.
When the four of us went to Mama Kwan's not too long ago and I had the fries, I deemed them the best I've ever had.
Sal's blow Tortuga's and Mama Kwan's out of the water.
Period.
I had to go back and read that again, lest my eyes deceive me. Is the universe is about to implode? Rosie liked EVERYTHING they ordered! The angels are singing and happy little cherubs are dancing.
ReplyDeleteSometimes, Kathy, the planets are all in alignment and crazy stuff like this happens.
ReplyDeleteThose homemade chips and seasoned fries looked absolutely scrumptious. I drooled on the keyboard a little bit.
