Excitement! The UPS Man Delivers Rosie's Blinds!

Just imagine my excitement yesterday afternoon when I see the UPS man drive up and deliver two 8-foot long packages to me.

I could hardly wait to open them since I knew what was in them- my brushed aluminum Hunter-Douglas Vertical blinds. WHOOT! I can take down the sheets I've had tacked over my sliders for the past two months.

I enthusiastically tear INto the first box.
Upon opening, my enthusiasm wanes.

These are the valences, but they're cream-colored. No brushed aluminum here.

I go to the second package, figuring the first was just a fluke. I anxiously anticipate my brushed aluminum blinds in here. I'll just have to re-order the correct valences. I go to heft the 25 pound box up ONto my counter and damn near throw it at the ceiling.

I don't think this box weighs anywhere near 25 pounds.

I open the box ... to find ...
PLASTIC AIR BAGS AND STYROFOAM.

That is all.

My disappointment is palpable.

What sad, sad, little boxes.

This morning, I called the company to report their error.

I was greeted with a cheery, "Good Morning, NO BRAINER BLINDS!"
