Just a Conglomeration of Stuff.

When I got home from Chesapeake yesterday, Ed had done all of this.

It's pretty.

I thought I'd shoot a picture of the canal. The water was not moving at all this morning, so the reflections were real pretty.

I love the deck and the railings.

Ed had a tough time doing the railings down the steps.

The pool, once again, is a nuclear reactive green. We have a leak in the liner and need to put in a new liner next spring so I haven't bothered running the pump and the chlorine.

Dixie thinks she's camouflaged. She jumped ONto the sofa and ONto the cow hide, next to the sheepskin in the back. She would never do that if Mr. Hawthorne were home. She knows I'll give her a pass.

This was my lunch today. I thawed out one of the crabcakes Mr. Hawthorne made last week from Good Neighbor Bob's offerings to us. Sauteed it right up.

Then I took a portabello mushroom, sauteed it, then stuffed it with Mr. Hawthorne's leftover Zatarain's New Orleans Style Black Beans and Rice with a bit of chopped red jalopenos . Topped it with mozzarella cheese. Delish.

OH, Happy Day!! Middle Hawthornelet came home from college tonight. I made him a hamburger. Mr. Hawthorne made potato chips.

OH, Miz X?? The two Hawthornes work together, once again.
