Rosie Gets Ready For Thanksgiving.
Very foggy this morning.
View from the deck.
I started my pie dough. Here's the basic recipe, except I time and a half it.
Work together until it looks like coarse corn meal:
4 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 TBS sugar
1 1/2 cup Crisco.
Then add:
1 egg
1 TB vinegar
1/2 cup water.
Form INto a dough ball. Cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
This makes 2-3 crusts.
Here's the pie dough ready to refrigerate.
Wait till you see what I did with my pumpkin!
I had two large pies (top left) and 3 smaller pies (regular tins from the groshry shtore) from 1 1/2 times the arrusssippeee.
I'll freeze the 3 smaller ones, then use the two larger pies for Thanksgiving. A pumpkin pie and an apple pie.
Ed finished the front steps today.
Looking good.
Middle Hawthornlet took Dixie out for a tennis ball romp. She came in, plopped in front of her water bowl, and drank water lying down. Tried to get that picture, but missed it. But you get the idea, though.
