Gifts For Mr. H. And Rosie.

You know, I thought this was a very thoughtful gift - one that Mr. Hawthorne would appreciate. Apparently, I was wrong.
So then I told him his real Christmas present
was the 46-inch Sony.


Mr. Hawthorne and I went to Home Depot this afternoon. I saw this and decided to buy me an early birthday present.



























It's a Phalaenopsis Orchid and I do hope my dear friend, Orchidgal, aka Marilyn, will email me and tell me how to take care of it.












I sooooo hope I don't kill this.

    Purty orchid, Rosie. You grow beautiful roses, so orchids should be a breeze.

    Interesting bit of trivia: you can tell the approximate age of a phal orchid by counting its leaves. Each year equals a year. Of course, this does not take into account the fact that a neglectful person might not water the plant like it should be watered. Not that I would know anything about that...

    You'll like this... Mr. P just told me that he would rather I took pictures and framed them for him, than buy watercolors for him. Sigh...
