PirateScape!

Ticky and I had PRE-decided that my birthday party would be PIRATE-themed.
ARRRRR, MATEY!

So, without further ado, let's just get on with the pictures.

Now, Ticky brought most of this
stuff from home.
Don't ask me about this.
Some things are best left unanswered.
But she did happen to have a skeleton in her closet, a couple of skulls, a few treasure chests with treasures, and a magnifying glass stand that sets up on the table, all of which she brought.

View of scape.

Shivver me timbers!

Now, here's another overview of our scape.

Poor parrot had a bit too much rum.

PirateScape!

This is Ticky's magnifying stand with a pirate map underneath. Standing tall and proud next to it is PegLeg Pirate Lafitte, a distant cousin of BEEYORRRN.

We found him in the same tourist trap place and had to have him,
as if you could doubt this.

On the opposite side of the scape is Lafitte's twin brother, PegLeg Jeanguitte.

When Ticky and I went INto this store and saw the pirate cache, we KNEW we had hit the mother lode.

I found this flag at a local tourist trap and had to buy it. Daughter Hawthorne gave me a T-shirt some time ago with this on the back of it. She told me it reminded her of me.
Awww. That's so sweet.

Ticky had some Horny Goat Weed so of course she brought that. Honestly, I don't know WHERE she finds this stuff.

And there's a great big Pirate diamond.

Lafitte is checking out his map.

Now Xmaskatie brought the miniatures for our scape. So here, I have a mini-pirate-beachscape.

I love the idea of having a scape-within-a-scape. It's attention to detail like this that will really impress your guests (imaginary and otherwise) and your fauxmily. I truly feel like I'm the smartest thing on the block right now.

At the same tourist trap shop, Ticky and I found the place cards for Danielle (I love you DANIEEEEELLLLLLLLE!) and Miss Stephanie.

When we saw these, Ticky and I high-fived. Talk about hitting the jackpot!
We considered this quite a coup.

Ticky and I bought a bunch of pirate tchotchkes at the tourist shop. I believe we shelled out $30 + apiece. As you know, ulugunt 'scapes don't come cheap.
There was this huge model of a sail boat that I sooooo wanted. It was only $250 and would have been purrrfection and f'ntastic, but Ticky held me back.

So glad you all had fun. If Sandy uses your tablescape in a tablescape idea, she needs to pay you some royalties.
