When Ticky was here last weekend,
we took Dixie for a walk around the block.
But first, I took a few shots
of my flowers.
Please enjoy.
This sign is in a yard in my neighborhood.
And I see a bit of irony here.
They're talking about the
Biblical Cradle of Civilization,
but then there's that rather
un-Christian-like No Trespassing Sign underneath.
"And forgive us our trespasses as
we forgive those who trespass against us."
By the way, I trespassed on their property
to take this picture.
Dixie got a little overheated on our walk,
so when we got home,
she immediately plopped on
the cool kitchen floor next to the AC vent
and her water.
Daughter Hawthorne's dog, Giada,
so wants to be friends with Dixie,
but Giada is a puppy
and Dixie isn't.
She's the Alpha dog at this house,
well make that the Beta dog,
since I'm the Alpha dog.
She barely tolerates these upstarts
who come into her personal space.
This was an unusual situation
with both dogs lying here like this.
Dixie is comforted by her Ducky.
And lots of times she drops Ducky
in her water bowl so he can take a swim.
Um, Rosie, have you cleared your position with Dixie? Because I'm thinking that Dixie thinks that she's the top dog in your house.
ReplyDeleteMar, Dixie and I both are delusional.
ReplyDeleteRosie, very pretty flowers. I liked the orange ones. Too bad we don't have those here (yet).
